Gale Hamblin

Gale Allan Hamblin, age 63 of Glencoe passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home. A memorial service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Riverside Assembly of God in Hutchinson. A time for family and friends to gather will be one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the church. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is assisting with the arrangements. Gale was born on July 29, 1952 in Glencoe to Karl Simon and Jenny Mae (Hennessey) Hamblin. On February 2, 1980 he married Joann Lucille Bartlow at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Glencoe. To this union were born twin boys, Nathan and Karl. Gale had worked the last many years as a delivery person for Country Hearth Bread. He loved to fish, golf, garden, and enjoyed dogs and cats. He was a member of the Glencoe Country Club. Gale is survived by a son, Nathan (Joshua) Hamblin of St. Paul and siblings; Ruth Mathews, Francis Hamblin, Viola Wurzberger, Donnis Beneke, Darrell Hamblin, Harold (Violet) Hamblin, Carroll (Marlene) Hamblin, Josephine (Jerry) Kalis, Bill (Marilyn) Hamblin and Ron (Kathy) Hamblin. He was preceded in death by his wife Joann, son Karl, parents Karl and Jenny, and brothers Raymond and Virgil.
