Gary "Biggy" Ray Bigaouette

Gary R. "Biggy" Bigaouette, age 62, of Belle Plaine died peacefully at home on Monday, April 1, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine with a 6:30 pm Veteran's prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday morning. Interment with Military Honors will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Gary was born on August 1, 1950 to Raymond and Fran (Blake) Bigaouette in New Prague. He grew up in Belle Plaine and graduated from Belle Plaine High School. Gary worked for Continental Hydraulics, Inc. for over 39 years. He also served in the Army Reserves for 20 years. He was active with St. John Lutheran Church including church council, ushering and leading youth groups. He also served on the Belle Plaine City Council from 1981-84. Gary loved to play, coach and umpire baseball games. He was a baseball fan, loved fishing, playing cards and bowling. Gary loved spending time with his family, especially grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Ray, Sister, Carol Smith and Mother-in-law, Maxine Kruschke. Special Thank you to Sister, Susie for being his friend and nurse. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of Belle Plaine; Children, Jeremy (Tricia) Bigaouette of St. Cloud, Tonia (Mike) Siehndel of Prior Lake; Grandchildren, Keagan, Peyton, Reagan, Nolan & Callie; Mother, Fran Bigaouette of Belle Plaine, Siblings, Lyn (John) Piche of Belle Plaine, Carmen (Dan) Hokeness of Victoria, Roxie (Steve) Koch of Chaska, Susie Schmidt (special friend Bryan Cooper) of Belle Plaine; Brother-in-law, Dale Smith of Waconia Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
