George P. "Judd" Pribyl, age 87, of LeSueur, Minnesota died on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Minnesota Valley Health Center. He was born on February 24, 1928 in Owatonna, Minnesota to Henry and Jennie (Seykora) Pribyl. He graduated from Owatonna High School in 1946 and graduated from St. John's University at Collegeville, MN with a B.S. degree in Business/Economics in 1951. He was involved in football, track and in wrestling, a program which he was instrumental in starting at St. John's. He married Grace Foley in LeSueur on May 22, 1954. He entered the U.S. Air Force and retired after 20 years. After his military service he moved to LeSueur and received a Master's Degree from Mankato State University in Computer Science. He worked for Pillsbury/Green Giant in the corporate office and later in the Company Store as well as Hardware Hank. Judd was active in St. Anne's Church as a Eucharistic minister and collection counter, Senior Citizen volunteer and driver. Judd was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the LeSueur Country Club. He enjoyed golfing, walking and playing cards. Our deepest appreciation and thank you to the Minnesota Valley Health Care Facilities for their special care and love. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer AssociTION. Survivors include his wife, Grace and children, Ann Mattson of Cottage Grove, Patti (Jim Brown) Pribyl-Brown of Edina, Jeff (Nancy) Pribyl of Bloomington and a daughter-in-law, Anna Pribyl of St. Paul. 7 Grandchildren, Jordan & Jacqui Mattson, Betsy & Eddie Pribyl, Katie, Charlotte & Joey Pribyl and sisters, Betty (Chuck) Herdina, Florence Luepke and Millie Prestegard and several-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Don in 2005 and brothers, Sil, Ben & Jay. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in LeSueur. Interment, at a later date, will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. There will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8:45 a.m. on Friday at the church and a visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
