Gertrude "Gert" Malinowski

Gertrude “Gert” Malinowski, age 99 of Le Sueur, formerly of the Minneapolis area died on Monday morning, October 10, 2022 at Oak Terrace in Le Sueur, MN.  Memorial service will be on Friday, Octobert 28, 2022, 9:00 a.m, Kolden Funeral Home, Le Sueur, visitation one hour prior the the service. Burial will be at a later time at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.

Gert was born on January 18, 1923 to Paul and Betty Wochnik in Eastern Europe where she grew up and married Thomas “Tom” Malinowski on November 14, 1953 in Bad Nauheim, Germany.  The couple relocated to the United States in 1954 where she was a homemaker most of her life in Bloomington, MN.  She enjoyed gardening and various home crafts.

She is survived by her children; Marion (John) Roby of Liberty Hill, TX; Dan (Cathy) Malinowski of Henderson, MN and Christl Wochnik of Frankfurt, Germany.  Grandchildren; Derek Lindeman of Liberty Hill, TX; Justin Roby of Woodway, TX; Sarah Malinowski of Arlington, VA;  Ian Malinowski of Henderson, MN and 3 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom in May of 2011 and sons; Thomas and David.
