Gertrude A. Youngberg

Gert Youngberg, age 72, of Arlington, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Visitation will be 5-8 P.M. Thursday, October 20, at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington MN, with a graveside service at 10:30 A.M. Friday, October 21, at Faith Lutheran Cemetery, in Denham, MN. Gertrude was born on September 11, 1939, in Willow River, MN. to Victor and Vlasta (Chodora) Doboszenski. She married Larry Youngberg on November 7, 1966, in Pine City MN. That union was blessed with five children. Gertrude loved crafting, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren. Gertrude is survived by her daughters, Lori (Jim) Prescott of Victoria; Cherie (Tim) Saunders of Arlington; and her son, Larry Youngberg of Gaylord; four grandchildren; C.J. Sickmann; Danny Saunders and Emily and Sanna Prescott; three sisters and three brothers. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Larry; daughters Vicki Ingerson and Annie Youngberg; son-in-law Jeff Sickmann; and her dog Gumdrop. Casket bearers will be Karen Youngberg, Kevin Youngberg, David Youngberg, Jerome Youngberg, Darryl Youngberg, and Lance Kiminski. Honorary casket bearers will be her grandchildren.
