Glen Edwin Loewe

Glen Edwin Loewe, age 80 of Henderson, died Thursday, June 14, 2018 at his home. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 18 at Zion U.C.C. in Le Sueur (240 Elmwood Ave., Le Sueur, Mn 56058) with Rev. Kent Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 17 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur, and one hour prior to service time on Monday at church. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery in Henderson. Glen was born on August 26, 1937 to Edwin and Hilda (Malz) Loewe on the family farm in Tyrone Twp., Le Sueur County. He graduated from Henderson High School. He married Judy Lammers on June 17, 1963 at Zion U.C.C. in Le Sueur. He drove truck for 40+ years with various companies, retiring in 2001 from Fremont Industries in Shakopee. He also farmed on the side. Glen was a member of the Henderson Lions Club, and was a Booster member of General Federation of Women's Clubs. He served on the Kelso-Shelby Mutual Insurance board, Le Sueur Farmers Elevator board, and was a church council member at Zion U.C.C. He enjoyed volunteering at the Sibley County FoodShare once a month. Glen and Judy enjoyed traveling together, they were able to visit Alaska, Hawaii, and New Zealand. Glen is survived by his wife, Judy of 55 years; children, Kent and Heidi Loewe of Green Bay, WI and their children, Allie, Evan, and Jack; Jamie and Paul Udulutch of Waukesha, WI and their children, Brittany, and Emily; and Perry and Caroline Loewe of Henderson and their children, Matthew, Hayley, and Nathan; siblings, Harley (Connie) Loewe of Le Sueur, Robert (Judith) Loewe of Belle Plaine, Marlyes (Fred) Latzke of Le Sueur, Jean (Gary) Hayer of St. Peter, Ed (Mary Ellen) Loewe of Le Sueur, and Curtis Loewe and his wife Carol Archer of Brooklyn Park; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Judy Loewe (339 Maple Ridge Dr., Henderson, Mn 56044) to be used toward their church parking lot project. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Melford.
