Gordon Enter

Gordon Frederick Enter, age 88 of Gibbon, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Glencoe Regional Hospital. Funeral service will be at 11a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. John Zeitler will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Gordon was born on January 17, 1923 in Nicollet, MN to Otto and Roella (Dallman) Enter. He attended country schools in New Sweden Township. Gordon married Lola Christine Cox on September 12, 1946 in Nicollet. After they married, he and Lola farmed in Lafayette before moving to rural Henderson where they continued farming for many years. Gordon was a 4H Leader, enjoyed polka dancing and old time music. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lola in 2005, parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Gordon is survived by his children, Cynthia Klingbeil of Commerce, TX, Sandra (Dennis) Jackson of St. Peter, MN, Gail Horn of Jacksonville, NC, Noel (StarLynn) Enter of Gaylord, MN, Myra (Kevin) Vorwerk of Gibbon, MN, Stacie (Mike) Rusten of Chisholm, MN; 12 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
