Gordon W. Malz

Gordon W. Malz, age 88 of Le Sueur died at Mayo Health Systems in Mankato, Minnesota on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Le Sueur, MN. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday morning one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN. Pastor Terri Horn will officiate the services. Gordon was born on December 17, 1928 to Adolph & Gladys (Schlegel) Malz in Tyrone Township, Le Sueur County, MN. He grew up in Tyrone Township and attended District 66 Country Schools and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1947. He married Bernadette Schloesser at St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry, MN in 1950. Gordon worked in the trucking business most of his life, trucking livestock. In his later years he worked at Canterbury Downs and Mystic Lake Casino. He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Craig) Lammers of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; Sister, Darlene Malz of Henderson, MN. Granddaughters; Tina (Marshall) Bartlett, Jenny Lippincott and Jill (Troy) Booker. Great-grandchildren; Alicia Lammers, Hayden Lippincott, Ryan Lippincott, Libbi Booker, Elijah Booker, Emmaline Bartlett and Erin Bartlett. Many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
