Harvey D. Ruff

Harvey David Ruff, age 77 of Kasota, died on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Benedictine Living Center in St. Peter, MN. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 2101 Lor Ray Drive, North Mankato, MN. Visitation will be at the church on Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday morning. Luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the service. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Arlington Township, Sibley County, MN, following the luncheon. He was born on April 16, 1940 to Henry and Gladys (Ruff) Ostermann in Arlington, MN. Harvey grew up and attended school in Henderson, MN. He married Carol Ann "Susie" Haas on April 25, 1964. Harvey worked for 4 yrs at Bongards Creamery. He worked 21 years at Glencoe Tillage Company in Glencoe, MN. In 1988 Harvey purchased the Fish Haven Resort (later named Cedar Sunrise Estates) at Richmond, MN. Harvey took great pride in keeping the resort beautifully groomed at all times. After 25 years of owning and operating the Family resort he retired and moved to the Mankato area. Harvey enjoyed hunting and fishing. Harvey is survived by his wife Carol Ann "Susie" of Kasota, MN; Brothers; Paul (Norma) of Brownsville Texas, Henry Jr. of Henderson,MN and Sister, Evelyn (Bill) Aul of Bloomington, MN. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; Brothers, Alex (Joan) Ruff, Walter Ruff, George (Janet) Ruff, Carl Ruff and Donna Glass; Sisters, Selma Ruff and Verna (Ellsworth) Drescher and nephews, Scott Ruff, Dustin Ruff, and Dennis Ruff
