Helen Finch

Helen Marie (Heitkamp) Finch, 81 went to be an angel in Heaven Tuesday April 17, 2018 at the Homestead Hospice in Owatonna after a short battle with cancer. Helen was born Sept 16, 1936 to Vernon and Viola (Krohn) Otto. She lived most of her life in the Belle Plaine area. She worked a variety of jobs but most known for her waitressing and bartending jobs. She loved people and was a social butterfly. Helen married Louis Heitkamp June 2, 1956 and they later divorced, together they had 4 children. She then married Ronald Finch on Aug 12 1987. Helen enjoyed her family but especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved fishing and Bingo and her tootling trips. She was also a life time member of the VFW Auxiliary Helen is survived by her husband Ronald Finch of Owatonna, Children Keith (Mary Gayle) Heitkamp of Belle Plaine, Brad (Peggy) Heitkamp of Jordan, Linda (Brian) Bender of Grand Rapids, MN and Nola (Dan) Olson of Owatonna. 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. Step Children, Chris (VI) Finch and Annie Newkirk both from Duluth and 6 step grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 brothers Kenny (Kris) Otto of Belle Plaine, Roger (Nancy) Otto of Henderson, and Dale (Sherrie) Otto of Waseca and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Viola Otto, Sister Elaine Muehlenhardt, Niece Kathy Muehlenhardt and Nephew Dana Otto. Services will be held Sat April 28th at Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, MN with visitation at 10am and funeral at 11am. Following the service interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Memorials are preferred to the family or the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, MN
