Herbert (Herb) A. Daub, age 87 of Le Sueur, died on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011 at the Benedictine Living Center in St. Peter, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Church in Le Sueur. Visitation will be Monday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur from 4:00 p.m. and concluding at 8:00 p.m. with a Parish Prayer Service. Visitation will continue the morning of the Mass at the Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. until about 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in Lester Prairie City Cemetery in Lester Prairie. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate the Mass and Prayer Services. Herb was born on June 20, 1924 to John and Catherine (Bernardy) Daub in Wabasso, MN. After serving as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division in World War II, he attended Dunwoody Institute. He married Regina Pomije Buska on July 22, 1972 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Excelsior, MN. Herb worked for many years as an auto mechanic in Excelsior, MN and then in Le Sueur where he operated his business River Edge Auto Repair until his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, wood working and wildlife. He was a dedicated church member. He had an abundance of love for his family and especially his dear wife Regina. He is survived by his wife Regina (Jean); Children, Joseph (Mary) Buska of Edina, MN, Dana (Laura) Buska of Mpls., MN, Steven (Jody) Buska of Chanhassen, MN and Mary Daub of Mpls., MN; 5 Grandchildren, Monika, Alexandra, Justin, Miles and Addison Buska; Siblings, Ed (Carla) Daub of Wabasso, MN, Rita (Earl) Holmes of Elysian, MN and Jack (Barb) Daub of Burnsville, MN; Sisters-in-Law, Mary J. Stocker of Shakopee, MN and Nora (Don) Shumrick of Cincinnati, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Daub and sister, Joan Holmes.
