Herbert George Krenz

Herbert G. Krenz, age 92 of Le Sueur died on Friday morning, May 8, 2026, at Oak Terrace in Le Sueur. Funeral service will be on Monday, May 18, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur. Visitation will be at the church that morning from 10:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m. Lunch to follow in church social hall followed by burial in Brown Cemetery in Henderson, MN.

Herb was born on March 31, 1934, to George and Angela (Schultz) Krenz in Tyrone Township, Le Sueur, County. He attended and graduated from Henderson High School. He married Betty Bauer on October 8, 1955, at Assembly of God Church in St. Peter, MN. The couple lived and raised their family in Le Sueur for many years where Herb worked as the Parts Manager at Wieland Ford, then Peck Ford and ended his career with Expressway Ford after 41 years in Le Sueur. Herb enjoyed playing his concertina at nursing homes, community events and especially at Pioneer Power where he was a member for many years. Herb also enjoyed cars and spending time at the Henderson Car Shows on Tuesdays in the Summer in Henderson, MN.

Herb is survived by his children; Gerald (Ruth) Krenz of Blaine, MN, Tim Krenz of Le Sueur, MN, Jody Winters of Le Sueur, MN and Rick Krenz of Mankato, MN. Grandchildren, Bryan and Adam Winters, Matthew and Nathan Krenz, Step-grandchildren, Lauren (Steph) Fredericks, Alex Duzan. Great-grandchildren, Hailee Winters and Elizabeth Krenz. Sister, Joanne (Vern) Morschen of Chaska, MN.

Herb is preceded in death by his wife, Betty in 2013, parents, sister, Leona (Harlan) Laabs and son-in-law, Terry Winters.
