 
            Herold H. Hafemann, age 98 of Arlington, Minnesota died on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. He was born on June 8, 1913 in Green Isle Township to Herman and Adelina (Bullert) Hafemann. Herold attended county schools and helped work the family farm. On October 7, 1936 he married Viola Mueller at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. She preceded him in death in 1966. They farmed in Jessenland Township until 1949 and later moved to Belle Plaine Township where he farmed until 1975. He married Luella Mueller on April 25, 1975 at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Arlington. She preceded him in death in 1983. After retiring from farming he worked for Belle Plaine Block and Tile, Econo Therm of Arlington, High Island Creek Residence and was the manager of the Sibley Estates East in Henderson, where he also resided. He later lived in his own residence in Henderson. He resided in the Fairview Assisted Living in Arlington for 3 years and had lived at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Arlington since August of 2011. Herold enjoyed horses and was a member of the Prairie Downs Charioteers and participated in the wagon train for Camp Courage. He is survived by his daughters, LaVerne (Ron) Muehlenhardt of Henderson and Elaine (Louis) Stier of Jordan; daughter-in-law, Lois Hafemann of LeSueur; 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren; 4 step-children, Gerald (Judy) Mueller of Arlington, Dale (Susan) Mueller of Harford, WI, Richard (Kris) Mueller of Arlington and Susan (Scott) Kroells of Wall, SD. 13 step-grandchildren and 20 step-great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Orma Geister of Prior Lake, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert; brother, Lorenz; sister, Malinda Krueger; 2 great grandchildren, Jennifer Weber and Eric Stier and grand daughter-in-law, Linda Stier. Funeral services will be at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Arlington at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012. Rev. Bruce Hanneman will officiate. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Sunday. Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington is in charge of arrangements.
