Israel F. Calles

Israel F. Calles, age 50 of Le Sueur, died on Thursday, June 17, at the Grandview Nursing Home in St. Peter after a short illness. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 23, 11:00 a.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Art Straub will officiate the services. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN. He was born June 13, 1960 in Chicago, Ill. He grew up in Chicago and moved to Crystal City, Texas in 1972 with his mother, Yolanda (Flores) Anchondo and step-father, Erasmo Anchondo. He and his family worked as Migrant Workers in Texas and North Dakota. He moved to Le Sueur in 1991 and worked for Walbaum's Inc, (Crystal Foods) near Gaylord. He began work at Le Sueur Inc. in 1994. He is survived by his Life Time Friend, Jean Hawkins of Le Sueur; Children; Israel Jr. Calles, Juan Jose Calles, Briana Marie Calles, Laura Lee Calles, Melisa Jean Hawkins, Thomas J. Hawkins; 4 Grandchildren; Mother, Yolanda Anchondo of Texas; Step-Father, Erasmo Anchondo of Texas; Siblings, Oscar Banda of Texas, Maria (Mario) Aguilar of Le Sueur, Sylvia (Raul) Cordova of Texas, Yolanda (Armando) Perez of Texas, Alicia (Reynoldo) Salinas of St. Peter and Erasmo Anchondo Jr. of Henderson. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.
