James “Jim” Worshek, age 74, of Prior Lake, formerly of Le Sueur and Jackson, MN, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on September 10, 2025. Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at First Lutheran Church in Le Sueur, MN. Visitation will be Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the church from 4:00–7:00 P.M. and 10:00-11:00am before the service. Interment will take place at a later date.

Jim was born on May 24, 1951, in Jackson, MN to George and Betty (Milleon) Worshek. He grew up in Jackson, where he learned the values of hard work and loyalty. After graduating from Jackson High School in 1969, he proudly served in the U.S. National Guard.

In his early years, Jim worked as a milkman, a job that perfectly suited his friendly, dependable nature. He then joined his dad at Worshek Repair in Jackson. Jim eventually found his calling in sales with Rosen’s and UAP, where his easy smile, honest approach, and quick wit earned him lifelong success and friendship.

On January 19, 1974, Jim married the love of his life, Connie Overaas, in Jackson, MN. Together, they raised three wonderful children, Travis, Mackenzie, and Ashley.

The family lived 20 years in Le Sueur before Jim and Connie settled in Prior Lake. He was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures, connecting with family, friends and neighbors was very important to him. He enjoyed spending time at Lake Ethel and attending any and every professional Minnesota sporting event. Over the years, Jim went on countless fishing and golf trips that filled his heart with stories and laughter. But above all, Jim was a family man. He adored his grandchildren and never missed a chance to cheer them on at their games or teach them how to waterski or pull them on a tube. Jim also had a lifelong love affair with cars, especially red Corvettes and his 1964 ½ red Ford Mustang convertible.

He was the kind of person who made people feel a part of his family, with his easy laugh, strong handshake, and big heart. His family, friends, and all who knew him will remember him for his warmth, his stories, his sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely. Jim’s family is forever grateful to the exceptional care from Mayo Clinic in Rochester over the years and Kacey and her team at Grace Hospice for their care and compassion during his last few months on this earth.

Jim is survived by his wife, Connie of Prior Lake, MN; children, Travis (Meghan) Worshek of Belle Plaine, Mackenzie (Matt) Bolf of Hermantown, and Ashley (Josh) Hermel of Le Sueur, MN; 4 grandchildren, Maya & Emma Worshek and Danika & Vinny Bolf; 5 step-grandchildren; Carlyn & Dylan Hermel, Allison (Nick), Hannah and Nicole; siblings, Bob Worshek of Fairmont, Mark (Lu Newell) Worshek of Clearbrook, Nancy Worshek of Robbinsdale and Brad (Debbie) Worshek of Jackson, MN; brother-in-law, Russ Overaas of Le Sueur, MN; sisters-in-law, Lynne Johnson of Eden Prairie, MN and Cheryl (Bob) Dekker of Mesa, AZ; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
