James “Jim” Goblirsch, age 78 of Henderson, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024 surrounded by family. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur, MN at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the funeral home from 4-7 P.M., and continued one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Henderson, MN.
Jim was born on December 23, 1945 to Herbert and Bertha (Wentzman) Goblirsch in Redwood falls, MN. He grew up in Redwood Falls, MN on the family farm and graduated from Belleview High School in 1964. Following high school, James enlisted in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 and was a member of the Henderson legion . He married Bonnie Keech on October 28, 1967 in Redwood Falls, MN . The couple lived in Olivia, MN before moving to their permanent residence in Henderson, MN in 1975 and raised 3 kids. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, decorating his house and yard for the holidays, Going up town to Charlie's bar for coffee, participating in Boy Scouts, 4-H, helping his brother during harvest season, gambling, but most of all, Jim loved and adored spending time with his family.
James is survived by his children, Michele Goblirsch of Eagan, MN, Milissa Brelje of Henderson, MN and Shawn Goblirsch of Janesville, MN and honorary son, Barton Hipp. Grandchildren; Todd Goblirsch ( Korin Stark) of Henderson, Joshua Brelje of Henderson, Amber Nowak ( Caz nowak) of Le Sueur, Austin Goblirsch of Henderson, and Justin Goblirsch of Janesville . 5 great-grandchildren; Skyy Goblirsch, Zyyla Goblirsch, Tripp Goblirsch, Izabella Brelje, Finley Nowak. Brothers, Gerald (Pat) Goblirsch of Kerkhoven, MN and Denis (Cindy) Goblirsch of Redwood Falls, MN, former wife, Bonnie Keech of Henderson MN, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends honorary grand daughter, Jacquelyn Brelje and beloved pets, Skitz and Ollie.
He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Bertha Goblirsch, brothers Donovan and Ronald Goblirsch. He will be deeply missed. Special thanks to his family caregivers that took care of him at home; Milissa, Amber, Jessicia and Korin, Mayo hospice and Tammy of French Meadows in Le Sueur.
