James "Jimmy" Quinn

James “Jimmy” B. Quinn, age 89, formerly of the Blakeley, MN area died on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Ridgeview Hospital, Waconia, MN.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, January 9, 2023, 10:30 a.m.  St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Arlington, MN.  Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. ~ 10:30 a.m. at church that morning.  Lunch to follow Mass at the church social hall followed by burial in St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery, Jessenland Township, Sibley County.

“Jimmy” was born on January 17, 1933 in Sibley County to James and Nellie (McVary) Quinn.  He grew up on a farm North of Blakeley, MN in Sibley County.  He farmed with his brothers for many years on the family farm and also worked with all his brothers at Crystal Sugar during the Winter Campaigns in Chaska, later Bongard’s Creamery near Norwood-Young America for many years with his bother Pat.  He married Linda Adams late in his life, she passed away in 2020.  He grew up in the Jessenland ~ St. Thomas Community and received his sacraments there.   Jimmy was well connected with the Jessenland, Blakeley, Henderson, Arlington and Belle Plaine farming communities.  He enjoyed his time with his brothers, sister and family.

Jimmy is survived by his brother; Bernie (Diane) Quinn of Northfield and sister-in-law; Patricia Quinn of Cologne, MN and brother-in-law; Leon Wellman of Montivedo, MN.   Many Nieces and Nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda, (2020); Siblings; Marion, Eugene, Martin, Maurice (infant) and Pat and nephew, Jason Quinn.
