Janet M. Kroehler

Janet M. Kroehler, age 77 of rural Henderson, Minnesota and formerly of Arlington died on Friday, December 17, 2010 at her home. She was born on October 17, 1933 in Arlington, Minnesota to Adolph and Erna (Pinske) Weihe. Janet graduated from Arlington High School in 1951. She worked in a supervisory position with Minnegasco for many years. She married Elroy "Blackie" Schwirtz on December 30, 1950 and they later divorced. She married Arden Kroehler on October 6, 2001 in Arlington. She enjoyed cooking, baking, making fleece blankets, attending the theatre and especially enjoyed attending grandchildren and great-grandchildren's activities and spending time with family. Janet is survived by her husband, Arden; children, Gayle (Gary) Streich of Mayer, Cindy (Doug) Wyatt, Barb (Curt) Reetz and Joe (Mary Beth) Schwirtz of Arlington and Jodi (Gary) Needham of Hugo; son-in-law, Roy Nordhausen of Arlington; daughter-in-law, Cindy Schwirtz of Apple Valley; step-children, Lezlee (Mark) Sanders of Budapest, Lisa (Dan) Reiman and Keven (Terry) Kroehler of Henderson; 16 grandchildren, Corey, Kyle, Aaron and Andrew Streich, Dianna Frauendienst, Nathan Hebeisen, Eric Reetz, Shane, Jesse, Kaili and Courtney Schwirtz, Lori Dressen, Angie Pflanz, Elissa Lovaas, Kristie Watson and Emily Rabe; 12 step-grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Wally (Linda) Weihe of Gainesville, GA and sister-in-law, Vivian Weihe of Wells. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Pam; son, Steve and brothers, Harlan and Doug Weihe. Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington with Rev. James Carlson officiating on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. There will be a time of visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church on Monday, Dec. 20. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Arlington Public Cemetery. Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington is assisting the family with arrangements.
