Janice Luskey

Janice "Jan" Luskey, age 71 formerly of Green Isle and Arlington passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington. A visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to service time Friday at the church. Following the funeral mass a luncheon will be served at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington. Interment will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery in LeSueur. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is assisting the family with arrangements. Janice Marie Luskey was born on July 17, 1945 in St. Peter to Myron and Isabel (Bailey) Farrell. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School and attended beauty school. Jan married Kenneth L. Luskey on September 18, 1965 at Assumption Catholic Church in Faxon Township, Sibley County. She had various employment throughout her life which started with operating a beauty shop in Green Isle and ended with her position at Technical Services for Electronics (TSE) in Arlington. Jan and Ken loved going for rides around the countryside. She enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together as well as playing cards. She looked forward to visits from family and friends and faithfully followed her grandchildren in their sport activities as well as liking to watch all Minnesota sports. Jan is survived by her children; Marguerite "Peggy" (Keith) Kroells of Arlington, Pete (Michelle) Luskey of Norwood Young America and Debbie (Jeff) Luskey-Milette of Gaylord, grandchildren; Zachary (Tara) Kroells, Marisa Kroells (special friend Lane Quick), Seth Kroells, Ashley Luskey (special friend Casey Karels), Abbie Luskey, Justin (Ashley) Luskey, and Aaron Luskey (special friend Megan Voss), great granddaughter; Magdalynn Kroells, brother; Fran (Mary) Farrell of Victoria, and numerous other family members. Jan is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kenneth.
