Jared Alan Felix was born on December 1, 1994. He passed away peacefully in his home after a long battle with alcohol addiction on June 26, 2025, at 30 years old. He was raised by his mom, Shanna Felix, in Henderson, MN with the help of his grandpa, Warren Felix. Jared went to elementary and middle school at Le Sueur-Henderson. He moved to Belgrade, MT after the passing of his mother in 2008, where he lived with his uncle, Steve Felix. He eventually moved to St. Peter, MN with his sister, Lora Wilkins (Felix) and brother-in-law James (Jim) Wilkins, where he graduated from high school in 2013. Despite all of these transitions and challenges, Jared was always quick to make new friends and was a joy to all that knew him.
For several years, Jared traveled for work visiting dozens of states, and making many friends along the way. He never left somewhere without leaving a great story behind. He gave up his travels to live close to his three nephews, who were his world. Jared spent his free time hunting, fishing, kayaking, camping, traveling, and spending time with his nephews. All three of his nephews looked up to him, and “Uncle Jared” will always be their role model. Jared always made sure they tried new things, spent extra time outside, and was excited to teach them how to hunt and fish. He was fiercely loyal, always making people laugh, and always had a smart remark. He spoke his mind and was not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. Jared was the best son, brother, grandson, uncle, and nephew you could ask for.
Jared is survived by his sister, Lora Wilkins (Felix); brother-in-law, James (Jim) Wilkins; nephews, Landon, Dawson, and Nixon Wilkins; Grandfather, Warren Felix; aunts Sheilah Felix (Michael Toft); Stephanie Stasica Felix; Stacy Anderley; and Uncle, Steve Felix (Darla Felix), as well as cousins Anna, Ava, and Alex Anderley, Claire Felix, and Brynlee and Charlotte Toft. Jared’s death was followed by his mother, Shanna Felix’s death, as well as his grandmother Beverly Felix and Uncle Brian Felix.
Join his family and friends for a celebration of life on July 12, 2025, from 12:00pm until 3:00pm at Gault Park in St. Peter, MN.
