Jeanne Eunice Baldwin

Jeanne E. Baldwin, age 85, of Mahtomedi, formerly of Le Sueur, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at The Lighthouse in Mahtomedi, Mn. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel in St. Paul. Rev. Carl Bruihler will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Jeanne was born September 25, 1926 to Fred and Inga (Johnson) Route in Amery, Wisconsin. She married Richard C. Baldwin on December 28, 1947 in Minneapolis. They owned a lake resort in Wisconsin until moving their family to Le Sueur in 1957. They then owned Our Own Hardware Store until 1972. Jeanne was involved with the First Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She also sang with a group that performed at Gustavus College in St. Peter. She was a hard worker taking care of her seven children and helping out with the family hardware store. Jeanne is survived by her sons, Jim (Mary Atmore) Baldwin of St. Paul, Dennis (LeAnne) Baldwin of Owatonna and Paul (LeAnne) Baldwin of Brandon, SD; daughters, Brenda (Pat) Youngren-Hammett of Frederick, MD, Val (Bob) Anderson of Owatonna and Pam (Jeb) Bullis of White Bear Lake; 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard in 2001 and her son, Kirk.
