Jeanne Marie Baumann

Jeanne Marie Baumann, age 71, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving husband by her side on May 1, 2026. A Celebration of Life for Jeanne Baumann will be held Saturday, August 22, from 1-5 p.m. at 29002 243rd Avenue, Belle Plaine. Please join the family in celebrating the life of this wonderful woman and Jeanne & Denny's 54th wedding anniversary! Food to include turkey, pork and beef sandwiches, beans, potato salad, and chips. Feel free to bring your own coolers/drinks and a lawn chair. (Some seating will be provided). Jeanne was born on July 14, 1954, to Harold and Marie (Healy) Herrmann. Jeanne grew up in Belle Plaine, MN where she also graduated.

Jeanne married her junior high sweetheart on August 22, 1972. She then join her husband while he was in the army where they spent time in Germany and Kansas before returning to Minnesota.

Jeanne moved to Colorado for a couple of years then moved back to Belle Plaine, MN where they bought a farmhouse in 1984 where they still reside.

Family meant everything to Jeanne. She traveled many places with her husband including Alaska and Hawaii. There were also many vacations taken with her children and grandchildren through the years. She also had yearly trips she took to Colorado she took with her sister Jo to see their niece, then many yearly trips to Arizona to see her sister.

Jeanne worked at the Le Sueue foundry for 27 before retiring from there. Once retired she spent more time with family and enjoyed doing daycare for her granddaughter Kya.

Jeanne is survived by her husband Dennis, daughter Jen, granddaughter Brandi Baumann, grandsons, Caleb Gall-Baumann, Isaiah Trimbo-Baumann and Devan Leonard-Baumann. Her sister Jo Carlson, brothers Tom (Shirley) Herrmann and Jim Herrmann. Also, many, many neices and nephews, and great-granddaughter, Kya Machado.

Jeanne is proceeded in death by her parents, sons Dana Baumann and Harold Baumann, sister Margaret (Peg) Walters, and brother Butch (Dale) Herrmann.
