Jennifer Lynn Johnson

Jennifer Lynn Johnson, age 54, of Belle Plaine, MN, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the University of Minnesota - Fairview Campus due to sudden cardiac arrest resulting from her chemotherapy treatments during her battle with Leiomyosarcoma.

A celebration and time of sharing will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, MN.

Jennifer was born on November 21, 1969, in St. Paul, MN, to Thomas and Karen (Justice) Hetznecker. She spent her childhood years in St. Paul, where she graduated from Highland Park High School in 1988. Jennifer obtained a business management degree at the University of Minnesota - Duluth and later married Tony Johnson on July 23, 1994, in St. Paul, MN. Besides being a full-time mom to three daughters in Belle Plaine, she also supported other families by providing daycare. Later, she spent a period working in Early Childhood Education and held various jobs in the customer service industry. She also served on the Belle Plaine School Board for one term. For the past several years, she worked with United Healthcare in the administration and billing department. She cared about her community and loved spending time with her family the most.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tony Johnson of Belle Plaine, MN; her three daughters, Mindy Johnson and Sarah Johnson of Belle Plaine, MN, and Rachel Johnson of St. Louis Park, MN.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
