Joan M. Irwin

Joan M. Irwin, age 69 of Arlington, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at her home with her daughters by her side. Memorial Service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington. Rev. James Gomez will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Joan was born on September 14, 1943 to Hubert and Thelma (Moran) O'Connor in Minneapolis. She graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 1961. She married Duane Irwin on August 1, 1968 in San Francisco. She worked many years for and retired from Cargill. She enjoyed participating in the Red Hat Society. Joan is survived by her daughters, Krista (Dan Krueger) Green and Elizabeth (James) McKnight; grandchildren, AnneMarie (Dylan Moberg) & Andrew (Brittany Vigesaa) Ricke, Becca, Molly, & Randi Green, Katilyn Susdorf-Green, Reed & Connor Kuhlman, Jessica & Jonathon McKnight; great-granddaughter, Serenity de la Rosa; Sister, Sharyn (Lee) Eischen; brother, James (Cher) O'Connor; nieces, nephews, stepchildren and many close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
