Joanne Barbara Osborn

Joanne Barbara Osborn, age 91 of St. Louis Park, formerly of Le Sueur, MN, died at Methodist Hospital on Friday morning, September 4, 2015. Memorial services will be on Saturday, September 12, at 11:00 a.m. at the Methodist Church in Le Sueur, MN. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN. Rev. Terri Horn will officiate the services. Joanne was born on June 4, 1924 to Clarence and Nolette (LaLonde) Joy in Detroit, MI. She grew up in Detroit and attended schools in the Detroit area. She attended the University of Minnesota where she met Melvin Osborn. They married February 20, 1944 in Detroit, MI. Following the War, the couple moved to Le Sueur where they operated Osborn Labs, (Veterinary Supplies and Pharmaceuticals). Joanne worked in the office with her husband, was a homemaker and active in her community. She was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, Le Sueur Historical Society, Minnesota Valley Health Center Auxiliary and the Methodist Church in Le Sueur. Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association. She is survived by her children: Scott (Bernadette) Osborn of Minnetonka, MN; Kent (Cindy McCormack) Osborn of Rochester, NY and Joy Osborn of Minneapolis, MN. Grandchildren; Erin (Luke) McLain, Ben (Malie) Osborn, Alison Osborn & Samuel Osborn. Great-grandchildren; Brenna, Lauren & Connor McLain; Tuscan, Kyan & Milana Osborn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melvin in 2003, and infant son Blake in 1953.
