John "Buck" Baumann

John W. "Buck" Baumann, age 63 of Belle Plaine, left this life to be with his Lord on April 3, 2016 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Memorial service will be at 11a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. John Meyer will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Friday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. John was born in New Prague on April 4, 1952 to Warren "Bud" and Adeline (Bohnsack) Baumann. He attended Trinity Lutheran School and was confirmed in his Christian faith on April 3, 1966. John was a member of Belle Plaine High School's Class of 1970. After high school he began working at Continental Machines in Savage, and for a time with his father, Bud and brother, Jim in their construction business in the Belle Plaine area. His longest employment was for Riesgraf Installations and MNI Incorporated from which he retired in April of 2015. John spent much of his leisure time fishing with family and friends, both summer and winter. An avid card player, he always enjoyed games with friends as well as trying to beat the odds at casinos across the country. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers, Jim (Tricia) Baumann of Belle Plaine, Joel (Patti) Baumann of Mankato, Jerry Baumann of Belle Plaine, Sisters, Lynn (Dale) Heintz of Eyota, Bonnie (Tom) Shafer of Elmwood, WI, Many Nieces and Nephews.
