John Mueller

John R. Mueller, age 85 of Arlington, died Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington and one hour prior to service time Monday at the church. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Gaylord. John was born on September 27, 1924 in Arlington Township, Sibley County to Royal L. and Frieda (Wieman) Mueller. He graduated from Arlington High School and farmed and raised purebred cattle with his brother, Karl on their five generation Elginvue Farm. John's career included breeding, raising and showing Red Poll cattle and later Holsteins as well as All-State or All-American cattle. He was a member of the Minnesota and National Holstein Association and the Minnesota Purebred Dairy Cattle Association. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Karl L. Mueller. John is survived by a sister-in-law, Carol Mueller and nephew, Kenneth Mueller.
