John R. Wentworth

John Roy Wentworth (formerly of Le Sueur, Belle Plaine, and St. Paul) most recently from Forest Lake, MN past away Sunday, December 27th, after complications from a recent illness. As a father, John left a legacy of love, strength, and family. Visitation will be Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2 p.m., one hour prior to the memorial service at 3 p.m. at the LeSueur United Methodist Church. He will be laid to rest at a later date in Blue Earth, MN John was born October 22nd, 1950 to John Raymond Wentworth and Delores Elaine (Rasheed) Wentworth. He graduated from Blue Earth Area Schools in 1968. Other education includes as Associate's Degree from Alexandria Technical School. John worked many years as a printer. First, at the print shop for Green Giant in Le Sueur. His first position was at Mr. Print in Roseville, MN. Then, he had his own printing business, The Shop, in Belle Plaine, MN. He worked for many years printing for the DFL party and ran for the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1984. He also worked for Minnesota Brewery Company. Most recently, he worked for DIMA, Corporation. John was retired but enjoyed Sunday evening meals with the Tretter family, hunting trips with his father and nephews, fishing and camping. He was an artist and gardener. He was a former member of the Union Lodge in Le Sueur, MN and a current member of the Nicollet Lodge No. 54 Masons in St. Peter. John is survived by his four beautiful children, Michael (Carol) Wentworth, Christine (Patrick) Tretter, Tricia (Jason) Spletzer and David (special friend Angela Severson) Wentworth. John shared a special bond with his 12 grandchildren: Alyssa, Teresa, and Natalie Wentworth; Payton and Preston Tretter; Stephanie Rosario, Aliyah Manthe, Logan and Kiley Spletzer; Hailie, Alexia, and Raymond John (RJ) Wentworth. John is also survived by his father, John R. Wentworth; sisters Denise Schlueter and Lisa (Donald) Lindeman; brother, Kim Wentworth (special friend, LuAnn Winchester) and many nieces and nephews. John is proceeded in death by his mother, Delores (Rasheed) Wentworth and brother, Alan Wentworth and brother-in-law, Roland Schlueter. John will be greatly missed.
