John Weldon

John Francis Weldon, age 64 of Belle Plaine, passed away on August 10, 2018 at Mayo Clinic - Methodist Campus in Rochester. Memorial service will be at 11a.m. on Saturday, August 18, at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Fr. Roger Hessian will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-8p.m. on Friday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the Mass at church on Saturday morning. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Belle Plaine. John was born in Arlington on January 6, 1954 to John and Mary Jeanette (Ryan) Weldon. He grew up in Blakeley Township and lived there his whole life. He worked in construction, mostly for Del's Construction in Le Sueur. He later worked for Northstar Auto Auction. John loved animals, fishing and playing cards. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Patty & Kay Weldon, and brother in law Marv Miller. John is survived by his children, Rachel Weldon of Waseca, John Jay (Kellee) Weldon of Le Sueur, Timmy (Kelly Ristow) Weldon of Le Sueur, Holly (Shaun) Yahnke of Belle Plaine. Grandchildren, Zack, Hailey & Coraley Ingles, Kaide, Ada & Farah June Weldon. Siblings, Wayne Weldon of Le Sueur, Mary Jo (Donny) Shurtleff of Longville, Donna Vogel of Le Sueur, Judy Miller (Steve Neidt) of Le Sueur, Jean (Joe) Ziebarth of Le Sueur, Many Nieces & Nephews.
