John F. Wilson

John Frederick Wilson, age 51 of Le Sueur, died peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. John was born on January 11, 1966 to Bert and Marion (Keane) Wilson in London, Ontario, Canada. He attended high school in London and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Concordia University in Montreal. John married Marie Walker on May 12, 1990 and they moved to Le Sueur, MN in 1998 - a community John treasured and began an 18-year career with Pearson VUE, as a Data Analyst. He was devoted to his children Alex and Sofie and played an integral role in nurturing their passion for hockey through his volunteer support of the Bulldog Hockey Program. John was passionate about music and had a special ear for recognizing talent in emerging artists and enjoyed playing the violin, banjo and guitar. He was a true hockey fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Minnesota Wild, and loved golfing with family and friends. John was adored by his family and we take comfort in the legacy of love he has left us. John is survived by his wife, Marie Walker; children, Alexander and Sofia Wilson; parents, Bert and Marion Wilson of Barrie, Ontario, Canada; siblings, Catherine (Anthony) D'Angelo of Toronto, and Jennifer (Jason) O'Neill of Barrie; mother-in-law, Sofia Walker of Vancouver, British Columbia; sister-in-Law; Michele Walker (David Karp) of Vancouver, British Columbia; brother-in-Law, John Walker (Donna Yancy) of London, Ontario; nieces and nephews, Emily, Lauren, Naomi, Jack, Wilson, Rosie and Maeve. John leaves behind loving friends and family in the U.S., Canada and Ireland. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 11:00 am, First Lutheran Church in Le Sueur, MN. Visitation will be at the church on Monday, May 15 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday morning one-hour prior to the service. Following the service, family will host a lunch at the church. Private interment will be in Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN. Rev. Carl Bruihler will officiate the services. Memorials can be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, the Bulldog Hockey Association or the donor's choice.
