Jon W. Ross

Jon Ross, age 47 of Mankato, formerly of Le Sueur, died at his home in North Mankato unexpectedly on Sunday, February 5, 2017. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m, at First Lutheran Church in Le Sueur. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 ~ 11:00 a.m. Rev. Carl Bruihler will officiate the services. Jon was born on Oct. 2, 1969 to Dennis & Sharon (Johnson) Ross in Phoenix, AZ. He was confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Le Sueur, MN. He graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1988 where he was a member of the basketball and golf teams. Jon was a professional truck driver for the last 20 years and most recently with Western Specialized Inc. of Mankato which was his dream job. In January, he spent some time with his parents in Phoenix. They had a wonderful time together golfing and lunch together at the various golf courses. Jon enjoyed his travels to California with his new 70' long truck, taking pictures along the way, calling his parents during his traveling time. Jon enjoyed golfing, especially with his dad. Most of all, Jon loved his wife and step-son Blake. He always watched out for his sister and his parents. He is survived by his wife; Cathy and step-son, Blake Kessler, parents; Dennis & Sharon Ross and sister, Dana Ross-Arlt and her husband Arnie. Nieces, Allie & Abby Arlt.
