Joseph Bednar

Joseph Bednar, age 56 of Arlington passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington. A gathering time for relatives and friends will take place one hour prior to service time Monday. Interment will take place in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Joseph Daniel Bednar was born on January 26, 1959 in Minneapolis to Joseph and Patricia (Zanke) Bednar. He was a 1977 graduate of Waconia High School. Immediately following graduation he enlisted in the US Army and served in Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan and Hawaii from 1977-1981. He worked various jobs in a variety of different fields including owning a gym for body building, building construction, tree service, over-the-road trucking, manufacturing and distribution. On 06/07/08 Joe married Wanda Monk Blaser at their Transit Township residence in rural Winthrop. Joe's passion was tree trimming/tree health and he and his wife raised nine litters of Siberian Huskies. Joe is survived by his wife, Wanda Bednar Mother and step-father, Patricia (Ruffin) Veal Son, Joseph Adam (Natasha) Bednar Step-sons, Joe Blaser (fiancé Thuy) and Frederick Blaser (fiance Amanda) Grandchildren, Dexter, Katrina, Dylan and London Siblings, Todd (Debbie) Jants, Scott (Donna) Bednar and Jodi Storms Nieces and Nephews.
