June B. Curme, age 82 of LeSueur, Minnesota died on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Minnesota Valley Health Center in LeSueur. Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in LeSueur. Rev. Luke Nelson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday. She was born on May 27, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri to Jacob and Fannie (Payne) Balter. She graduated from High School in St. Louis and received her Bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis. She also attended/taught at Iowa State University. June married John H. Curme on December 23, 1955 in St. Louis and they lived in Philadelphia, PA, Pasadena, CA, St. Charles, IL and moved to LeSueur in 1968. June was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, LeSueur Country Club and had been active in the American Association of University Women. She served on the boards of the Cosgrove Foundation and the LeSueur School Board. She was a dedicated blood donor, golfer, swimmer, enjoyed the fresh air and being in her yard on Court Street. June is survived by her children, Alison (David) Wright of Melbourne, Australia, James (Carol) Curme of Golden Valley and David (Stacey) Curme of Edina. 4 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985 and by a brother, Carl Balter.
