Karen A. Dobesh, age 70, of Le Sueur, passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2026. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Zion United Church of Christ at 11 A.M. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 4–7 P.M. at Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Karen was born on June 19, 1955, in Shakopee, MN, to Frederick and Mary (Ruehling) Koepp. She grew up in Belle Plaine, where she graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1973. Soon after, she married the love of her life, Lynn Dobesh, on April 12, 1975, at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine, beginning a life together centered on family and devotion.
Karen worked for several businesses over the years, including a coffee production plant, It Takes Two in Le Sueur, and part-time custodial work at Green Giant in Le Sueur. While she took pride in all she did, her greatest joy and most cherished role was being a mother to her two sons, Daniel and Matthew. She was also a faithful member of Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur for over 46 years.
She was deeply devoted to her family and treasured every moment spent with them, especially with her beloved grandchildren. She found happiness in simple pleasures; time at the family cabin, baking, cooking, annual birthday shopping with her twin and creating memories with those she loved most. She always looked forward and cherished each and every family holiday get together.
Karen is survived by her sons, Daniel (Sara) Dobesh of Lakeville, MN and Matthew Dobesh of Buckeye, AZ; grandchildren, Alexa and Lucas Dobesh, Dylan and Kelysta Dobesh; siblings, David (Char) Koepp, Sharon (Duane) Wolters, Brent (Wendy) Koepp, and sister-in-law Sally Koepp as well as many other cherished family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lynn (2024), parents, and brother, Allen Koepp.
