Karen M. Jahn, age 72 of rural Henderson, died on Sunday morning, September 21, 2014 at Mayo Health Systems in Mankato, MN surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Kolden Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until about 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Le Sueur. Karen was born on June 3, 1942 in St. Peter, MN to Vernon and Mildred (Brenke) Anderley. She attended and graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1960. Following her graduation from high school she worked at a bank in Minneapolis for a few years before she was married. She married Harvey Jahn on November 2, 1963 at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Heidelberg, MN. She was a loving homemaker for many years and began a career as a cook with the Le Sueur-Henderson School System from 1975-2004. She loved working and being around all of the school children. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed being at the lake, fishing, boating, reading and traveling. She is survived by her husband, Harvey; daughters, Lori (Mike) Jost of Shakopee, MN and Kristine (David) Weyl of Le Sueur, MN; daughter-in-law, Lisa Jahn of Shakopee, MN; 5 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Emily Jost; Nathaniel and Matthew Weyl and Jackson Jahn brother, Gary (Darleen) Anderley of Belle Plaine, MN; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty (Robert) Chard of Belle Plaine, MN, Arline Sticha of Lonsdale, MN and Valada (Tom) Keough of Faribault, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eugene; sons, Kevin in 2010 and David in 1997.
