Kathleen F. Blaha

Kathleen Florence Weber Blaha, age 100 of Le Sueur, died Monday, July 6, 2015 at the MN Valley Health Center in Le Sueur. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 10, 2015, 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 9, 2015 & will begin with a C.C.W. Rosary at 3:00 p.m. and conclude with a parish prayer services at 7 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur, MN. Visitation will continue on Friday morning at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Interment will be in St. Anne's Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN. Fr. Andrew Stueve will officiate the services. Kathleen was born on June 4, 1915 to George and Helen (Smith) Weber on a farm near Eagle Lake, MN. She graduated High School at Good Counsel Academy in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato State College in 1933 with a degree in Kindergarten and Elementary Education. She spent her first teaching years in Scott County ending with second grade in Belle Plaine. In 1939 she married Paul Blaha in a double ceremony with her sister, Ramona and Raymond Ploog in Belle Plaine. She and Paul eventually moved to Le Sueur where Paul had a Mobil Oil dealership. She worked as a substitute teacher at St. Anne's School. Kathleen was a volunteer librarian at St. Anne's School for many years. Kathleen is survived by her sons, Terry Blaha of Minnetonka and Tim (Tammejo) Blaha of Cleveland, MN Grandson, Tyler Paul Blaha Step-Granddaughters; Lexi (Spencer) March, Melisa (Matt) Shiller & Nicholas (Alisha) Stolt and Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul in '89; sisters, Cecelia Rose Connolly, Ramona Ploog & Wenonah "Peggy" Fairly.
