Kathleen Kay Plaisance

Kathleen Kay Plaisance, age 73 of Frederick, Maryland, formerly of Le Sueur, MN.  Died on June 3, 2024 at the Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy, Maryland.  Memorial service will be on Friday, June 28, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Le Sueur, MN. Visitation will be at the church that morning from 10:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN followed by a birthday celebration lunch at the church social hall.

Kathleen was born on June 28, 1950 to Lawrence and Joyce (Bubolz) Johnson in Gaylord, MN.  She grew up in Le Sueur graduating in 1968 from Le Sueur High School.  She married John C. Plaisance on September 18, 1968 in Watertown, South Dakota.  Because of John’s commitment to the Military, the couple moved suddenly after marriage to Germany.  Following his over seas obligation, the couple was also lived in New Jersey, Maryland, back to Germany, Italy, Georgia, Texas, Minnesota and retiring in Maryland.  While following John’s military obligations, Kathleen did day care, retail work and waitressing at various restaurants.  She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, traveling, shopping, beaches on the ocean and most of all, time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, John; Children, Tammy (Jay) Hischer of Cambridge, MN; Shawn (Jennifer) Plaisance of New Market, Maryland and Jackie (Richie) Perry of Taneytown, Maryland.  Grandchildren; Alexis Hischer, Blake Plaisance, and Maddie & Braiden Perry.  Siblings; Sue (Mike) Resch of Richmond, VA, Doug Johnson of Lake Crystal, MN and Allen (Jeniffer) Johnson of Hudson, Wisconsin. Goddaughter, Kim Johnson of Waseca, MN.  Many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Gary, Dale and Kevin Johnson.
