Kathy L. (Nyberg) Newberry

Kathy (Nyberg) Newberry, age 58 of Belle Plaine, died at her home on Sunday, August 18, 2013. Memorial services will be on Thursday, August 22, 11:00 a.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, MN. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later time in California. Refreshments and social to follow at Kathy & Lisa's home following services. Kathy was born on April 20, 1955 to Calvin & C. Dell (Hyman) Newberry in Lubbock, TX. She grew up in West Minister, California. She married and had two children. She later met and shared her life with Lisa Rogers whom she later married. She moved to Minnesota from Arizona in 2009. Shortly thereafter was diagnosed with cancer. She is survived by her wife; Lisa Rogers of Belle Plaine, MN. Daughter, Brianna (Nick) Wilkinson of Salt Lake City, Utah; son, Daniel (Jessica) Nyberg of Phoenix, AZ. 5 granddaughters; Savanna Wilkinson, Taylor Nyberg, Samantha Nyberg, Shyann Wilkinson & Christina Nyberg. Brother, Calvin (Jeannette) Newberry of California & sister, Peggy (Rodney) Mahaffey of Georgia. Several nieces, nephews and extended loving family. She is also survived by 3 dogs she loved and adored.
