Kenneth G. Nagel

Kenneth G. Nagel, age 74 of Le Sueur died on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home where he has resided for the past 5 years. He was born on September 15, 1936 on the family farm in Henderson Township to George and Dorothea (Boelter) Nagel. He graduated from Le Sueur High School and worked various jobs including brick and block laying with LeRoy Kahle and also graded Henderson Township roads. He was drafted into the Army in 1959 and was stationed in Oklahoma, Texas and California. He farmed with his brothers in Henderson Township most of his working life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gospel and country music, wrestling, dancing and going to casinos. He was a former member of the Farmers Union. He is survived by his brothers, Gordon, LeRoy, Marvin and Donald Nagel of Le Sueur and sisters, Dolores Hedman of Alabama, Shirley (Charles I.) Hill of Le Sueur, Carol (Boyd) Hansen of Mankato and Peggy Thompson of Rollette, ND. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wesley and 2 sisters, Betty and Audrey as well as a brother-in-law, Dennis Hedman. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in LeSueur. Rev. Beth Benson will officiate. Interment will be in the Mound Cemetery in LeSueur. Visitation will be from 4 to7 p.m. on Sunday at the Kolden Funeral Home in LeSueur and one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday.
