Kevin Patrick Heldberg

Kevin Patrick Heldberg, age 51 of St. Peter, died Sunday, August 5, 2018. Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mound Cemetery in Le Sueur. Kevin was born on September 16, 1966 to Dennis and Sandra (Heilman) Heldberg in St. Peter. He grew up on the Heldberg farm between Le Center and Le Sueur. He joined the U.S. Army for two years where he completed and received his high school diploma. He married Wendy Martin on April 4, 1982 at the Presbyterian Church in Le Sueur. Kevin worked for many years at the Mars Pet Food plant in Le Sueur until they closed their doors. He then went to work for Michael Foods Inc., in Le Sueur, for a few years. Cambria then bought the old Mars Pet Food building and he ended up going to work for Cambria. Kevin is survived by his wife, Wendy; daughter, Heidi Heldberg of Lake Crystal, MN; mother, Sandra Heldberg of St. Peter; siblings, Brian Heldberg of Minneapolis, and Dale Heldberg of Kasota; and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis; and brother, Darren.
