Kevin Zumberge

Kevin ZumBerge, age 57 of Arlington, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. Memorial service will be at 7p.m. on Monday evening at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington. Rev. Kurt Lehmkuhl will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-7p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Kevin was born in Glencoe on June 3, 1959 to Wendell and Melva (Kroells) ZumBerge. He grew up south of Hamburg and graduated from Arlington - Green Isle High School in 1977. He married Wendy Walters on July 16, 1977 at St. Paul's Evangelical Reformed Church in Hamburg. Kevin worked as a mechanic and foreman at Seneca Foods in Arlington and Glencoe for many years. Kevin spent some of his final days at his favorite place, his hunting shack near Floodwood. He loved hunting, fishing, going out to eat with his family, and helping his daughter, Ashley on her hobby farm. He loved playing with his grandchildren, who nicknamed him, Bacca. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Keith and brother in law, Randy Lueck. He is survived by his wife, Wendy, Daughters, Amber (Mark) Sommerfeld of Sleepy Eye, Kara (Nick) Croat of Arlington, Holly (Ben) Stier of Belle Plaine, Ashley (Josh) Burtyk of Glencoe, Grandchildren, Hailey, Katelyn, Grayson & Paisley Croat, Isabelle & Cooper Stier, and Calan Burtyk. Siblings, Larry "Cougar" ZumBerge of Norwood, Karen (Doug) Lueck of Litchfield, Dave (Patty) ZumBerge of Little Falls, Kathy "Putz" Lueck of Norwood, Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
