 
            Larry E. Hiles, age 60 of Arlington, died Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7 at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop. Rev. Bob Miner will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington and also one hour prior to service time at the church. Larry was born on January 6, 1953 to Marvin and Naomi (Taylor) Hiles in Wolsey, South Dakota. He graduated high school in 1971 and served in the Army for seven years at which time he was medically discharged. He could fix anything and was a lifelong mechanic. He worked at B&T/Lanos, City of Arlington, Junglaus Implement and Ron's Repair, but his favorite work was the time he spent working with his sons in his shop at home. He was always willing to help all. Larry loved horses: riding, driving, training and collecting them. He enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends. He was a charter member of the Friends of Rush River. Larry is survived by his sons, Mark (Kendra) Hiles of Winthrop and Jon (Jayme) Hiles of Gaylord; 2 grandchildren, Austin and Jake; mother, Naomi Hiles of Jordan; siblings, Lucille (Raymond) Krueger of Hutchinson, Joyce (LeAnder) May of Belle Plaine, Esther Levanduski of Rogers, MN, Lawrence (Karen) Hiles of Branson, MO, Anita (David) Worm of Jordan and Lowell (Laurie) Hiles of Belle Plaine; former spouse, Annette Hiles of Stewart; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Hiles and brother-in-laws, Gerald Levanduski and Larry Blades.
