Larry L. Kahle, age 64 of Le Center formerly of Belle Plaine died at Central Health Care Nursing Home in Le Center on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Memorial Service will be at 11a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Memorial Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. on Friday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Larry was born on October 2, 1945 to Orville and Mabel (Hessing) Kahle in Blakeley, Minnesota. He attended country schools and Belle Plaine schools. On June 15, 1968, he married Suzanne Mumm in Cologne, MN. In 1971 he went to work for Breddo Foods where he worked as a milk dryer. Years later, Larry was injured at work and as a result was paralyzed from the waist down. After his injury, he attended Hennepin Technical College to retrain himself for a career in tax preparation and accounting. In 1999, Larry moved into the nursing home in LeCenter where he has resided ever since. He was an avid reader and loved to fish. He enjoyed bowling when he was able and was a competitive game player. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Roland & Hilda Hessing and William & Ida Kahle, and Mother, Mabel. He is survived by his father, Orville Kahle of Belle Plaine; Beloved Caregiver, Suzanne Kahle Pearson Children, Sheryl Lynn (Christopher) DeVaughn of Lee's Summit, MO, Scott Larry (Jennifer) Kahle of Lakeville, Sister, Debbie (John) Schafer of Belle Plaine; Brother, Rodney Kahle of Belle Plaine; Grandchildren, Devon Ashley DeVaughn, Katlyn Rose DeVaughn and Ethan Scott Kahle.
