Laura Ida (Hardel) Renneke

Laura Renneke, age 105 formerly of LeSueur passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at Oak Terrace Health Care Center of Gaylord. A private family graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8th at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery of Arlington Township. Rev. Gary Ruckman officiated the service. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington handled the arrangements.

Laura Ida Renneke was born on March 11, 1915 in Kelso Township, Sibley County to William and Laura (Ayer) Hardel. She was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Arlington Township. Laura also married her husband, Arnold Renneke there on August 19, 1936. Laura attended the duties of housewife and homemaker and is remembered fondly for her love of quilting, baking and gardening.

Laura is survived by her children; Ken (Carol) Renneke, Betty (Ray) Pioske, Jane (John) Gray and Evie Werner, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, sister; Ethel Mathwig and many nieces and nephews. Laura is preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings and siblings-in-law.
