Lavon L. Wiese

Lavon L. (Susie) Wiese, age 87 of Le Sueur died on Saturday morning, May 14, 2016 at Comfort First in LeSueur, MN. Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in LeSueur. Visitation will be at the church on Friday morning one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Ottawa Cemetery in Ottawa, MN. Lunch will follow at Zion United Church of Christ in LeSueur. Reverends Kent Meyer and Jean Sidner will officiate the services. Lavon was born on January 7, 1929 to Albert and Loretta (Schmidt) Loose in Ottawa Township, LeSueur County. She grew up on a farm in Ottawa Township. She married Robert Wiese on October 7, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa. Lavon lived in the same home on South Third Street in Le Sueur for 60 years. Like most people of her generation Lavon worked for Green Giant, first seasonally in the plant and then full time in the Marketing/Rebate Department until she joined Robert in retirement (from the Post Office) in 1980. She was active in Ruth Circle at Zion and enjoyed Christmas, golf, dogs, wrens, popcorn and root beer floats. She is survived by her Son; Bruce (Johnnie) Wiese of Northfield, MN; Grandchildren, Denise (Jeff) Stueven of Howards Grove, WI and Michele (Dennis) Kelley of Kalamazoo, MI. Great-Grandchildren; Zach and Noah Stueven. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert in 2003 and brother Milo. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Zion United Church of Christ, LeSueur MN.
