Leo J. Anderly

Leo J. Anderly, age 72 of Henderson, MN died, Saturday evening, October 21, 2017, unexpectedly and peacefully on his way back from a hunting trip in Wyoming. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 27, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Henderson, MN. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, MN and will continue at church on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will be at St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery in Jessenland Township, Sibley County. Leo was born on December 4, 1944 to Clarence "Bud" & Violet (Meyer) Anderly in St. Peter, MN. He grew up in Henderson, MN and graduated from Henderson High School in 1962. Leo married Jacqueline Ann Zimmerman at St. Joseph's Church in Henderson on July 9, 1966. The couple lived in Jessenland Township for many years where Leo farmed and served as Sibley County Assessor for many years. He also served as a Sibley County Commissioner from 2000 - 2008. He was a Henderson Lion, served on the Blakely Elevator Board, Henderson School Board and enjoyed his time with family and friends. He is survived by his children; Peter (Kara) Anderly of Henderson, MN; Tim Anderly of Belle Plaine, MN; Jared Anderly of Belle Plaine, MN and Jana (Curt) Pavlicek of Chaska, MN. 6 grandchildren; Austin, Cole, Jake and Tucker Anderly and Emmett and Myles Pavlicek. Siblings; Patrick (Mary) Anderly of Henderson, MN; Gary (Peggy) Anderly of Bemidji, MN; Ronald (Dorothy) Anderly of Pine Island and Alice (Joe) Strobel of Gaylord, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jacqueline in 2013 and infant son, Chad in 1971. Leo's family wishes everyone a sincere thanks for all those who took special care and concern for Leo in the past 5 years since his wife's passing.
