Leon J. Frost

Leon J. Frost, age 92, of Le Sueur, MN, died on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Minnesota Valley Health Care Center in Le Sueur. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, 11:00 a.m, St. Anne's Church, Le Sueur. Visitation will be Monday, from 4-8 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur concluding with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home the morning of the Mass from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery, Le Sueur. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate the services. Leon was born on January 19, 1922 to Edward W. and Mary J. (Daun) Frost in Minneapolis. He attended St. Bridget's School in Minneapolis, St. Anne's School and High School in Le Sueur, St. John's University and University of MN. Leon married Mary Shannon Frank on November 27, 1943 at the Church of St. Anne in Le Sueur. Leon was a Lt. Junior Grade in the U.S. Navy and served during WWII in the Pacific. He retired as VP and Controller of Green Giant Co. (1943 - 1978) to work as Associate Professor of Finance and Management at Mankato State University (1978 - 1983). Leon is survived by his wife, Shannon; 5 children, Mark (JoAnn), Dick (Kathy), Steve (Mary), Mary Ellen (Ed) Loewe and Chris (Dean) Dressel; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Inez (in childhood) and infant son. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to St. Anne's Church Endowment, Patron's of St. Anne's School Endowment and MN Vally Health Center Endowment.
