Linda S. Pederson

Linda S. Pederson of Winthrop passed away on her 62nd birthday, Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord after a short battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, October 11th at First Lutheran Church in Winthrop. A time for gathering of family and friends will take place beginning at 2:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is assisting with arrangements. Linda Suzann was born in Gaylord on October 8, 1953 to Palmer and Ardis (Hemmingsen) Pederson. She was a 1972 graduate of Winthrop High School and received a degree from the University of Minnesota Waseca. Linda worked at Penney's in New Ulm, Mc Donald's in Denver, CO. and Unidoor, Inc. in Gaylord. She owned and operated Pizza Plus and Blooming Basket Boutique in Winthrop. She was the custodian at First Lutheran Church for many years. Linda enjoyed golfing, bowling, softball, crafting and watching sports of all kinds. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Linda is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Linda is survived by four brothers; Dennis (Connie) Pederson of Winthrop, Allen (Donna) Pederson of Eagle Bend, Gerald (Kristi) Pederson of Gaylord and Randal Pederson of Marietta, OK., nephews and nieces; Dean (Melissa) Pederson of Farmington, Dave (Cathy) Pederson of Mantorville, Jeremy (Nycole) Pederson of Eden Prairie, Scott (Dana) Pederson of Eagle Bend, Kristy Pederson of Alexandria, Heidi (Mike) Sudbeck of Eagle Bend, Nichol Pederson of Los Angeles, CA., Jenna (Blake) Birdsall of Becker and Rachel Pederson of Marietta, OK., seven great nephews and 4 great nieces.
