Lois Jeanne Braun

Lois Jeanne Braun, age 87, of Le Sueur passed away surrounded by family on February 27, 2024 at Oak Terrace Senior Living in Le Sueur. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11 A.M. at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur. Visitation will be Friday, March 1, 2024 from 4-7 P.M. at Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur, and continued one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in Dressellville Cemetery, Le Sueur County.

Lois was born on April 28, 1936 to Harold and Laura (Belz) Reinhardt at their home in Henderson Township, Minnesota. She attended rural country schools and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1954. After graduation, she attended Anckor Hospital School of Nursing in St. Paul, Minnesota where she became a registered nurse.

She married Glendon Braun on May 1, 1957 at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur, where they were the first couple to have their wedding at the church. They spent 65 loving years on the family farm. She worked at the Le Sueur Hospital, for Dr. Sonnesyn’s office, and for the State Security Hospital in St. Peter all while being a great mother to her children. Lois was very active in church activities, enjoyed farm life, loved her chickens and all animals, gardening and flowers, card club, the Pioneer Power Association and running road races with her daughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Donna Rohloff, LaVaun Berger, Jack and Steve Reinhardt, and son-in-law, Tony Trimbo.

Lois is survived by her husband, Glen, children, Lauralie (Scott) Axtell, Bonita (Don) Boehne, and Monty (Amy) Braun, grandchildren, Zach (Jenny) Trimbo, Sammie (Joe) Hunt, Angie (Andy) Meyer, Chase (Chelsea) Boehne, Shane Boehne, Emily (Jimmy) Jacobsen, Joe (Amelia) Braun, Austin (fiancé, Chelsey) Braun, 12 great-grandchildren, sisters, Shelby Lueders and Margie Lemke, and brother, Ray Reinhardt.
