Lois E. Luepke, age 85 of Arlington died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Arlington Good Samaritan Center. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church in Arlington. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington and will continue one hour prior to service time Thursday at the church. Interment will be in the Arlington Public Cemetery. Lois was born on March 12, 1926 in Preston Lake Township, rural Stewart, Mn. to Walter and Helene (Nagel) Kahlow. She was baptized on April 11, 1926 at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake, Mn. and confirmed April 2, 1939 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart, Mn. Lois was a graduate of Stewart High School. She married Clarence "Buck" Luepke on February 18, 1947 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington. Lois was a waitress at Verne's Café in Arlington and later worked as a cook for the Arlington - Green Isle Public Schools until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers and loved to cook and bake. Lois is survived by her sons; Doug Luepke of Royalton and Bruce Luepke of Arlington, sister; Jean Luepke of Arlington, brother; John (Florence) Kahlow of Bloomington, and nieces and nephews. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother; Howard Kahlow, and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Ernst , Walter & Viola, Alfred & Elvira, Frank & Mary, and Raymond Luepke, and Eleanora & Bernard Ziegler.
